Meet Your Environment Group Leader
for the Big Connection Global Research Project 2022
Sheila Scotese Spremulli
Hi, I am Sheila Scotese Spremulli and I will be the group leader for the Environment group of the Big Connection.
I worked as a Labor and Delivery Room nurse, married in 1968 and have raised four children. I have 11 grandchildren and completed my BA in Health Arts and Science in 2010 and became a certified Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology Educator. I became a certified Veriditas labyrinth facilitator in 2017 and a certified trainer in ecotherapy facilitation in 2018.
My approach to the environment is through my work as an Eco -spiritual doula. I believe in the bio mythic story of the ecological self that ,“…is in and of nature from the very beginning of ourselves”, as described by Arne Naess.
I facilitated a small group of women at a local church last winter where we explored the question: How might studying the holy manuscript of nature give us a glimpse of the divinity. My practice continues to explore the indigenous wayfinding behaviors of coming into relationship with the environment.
